OUR LEAD PASTORS
Pastors Jon and Andrea Schwartz lead Life Church with a deep commitment to transforming lives through the gospel.
Jon, originally from Brooklyn, NY, combines his diverse heritage with a passion for ministry, transitioning from a career in Accounting and Finance to full-time ministry. Andrea, rooted in the Lehigh Valley, applies her expertise in psychology and school counseling as the Executive Pastor of Next Gen ministries. Together, they embody a vision of healing and wholeness through God’s word. Alongside their three daughters—Anabelle, Charlotte, and Stella—they are dedicated to making Life Church a beacon of hope and life, believing that the Word of God and the Holy Spirit are our sources of healing, hope, and love.
In March 2024, our founding pastors passed the baton to our new lead pastors, launching the next 35 years of Life Church with great expectation for all God will do.
OUR FOUNDING PASTORS
Pastors Randy and Maribel Landis founded Life Church in 1990, growing it from a modest congregation into a vibrant community across six locations in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Randy, an Allentown native, is a church consultant, missionary, and mentor to pastors worldwide. Maribel, a bilingual oncology nurse educator, holds a Master’s from The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies and leads the church’s worship and creative ministries. Since founding “Church on the Move,” they’ve grown Life Church into a dynamic spiritual home for thousands.
Pastor Randy also founded Rino Global Solutions (RGS), offering support to churches and organizations looking to expand globally. He and his daughter, Natalie, launched the Rino Foundation, the official missions arm of RGS, to serve under-resourced communities worldwide in memory of Randall ‘Bubba’ Landis Jr.

Statement of Faith
The Church accepts the Bible as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity of statements of faith.
The Scriptures Inspired
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are the inspired, infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and conduct. (2 Tim 3:13-17; 2 Pet 1:20-21; Heb 4:12; Psalm 119:89; 1 Pet 1:23-25; Gal 1:8-9; Matt 5:18; Is 40:8)
The One True God.
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God, the Father—Creator of all things, by His Word all things were created and through the power of His Word all things are held together. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem mankind unto Himself. A relationship with God comes through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life and performed many miracles. He redeemed us by His atoning death through His shed blood, He rose again bodily, He ascended to the right hand of the Father, and He will personally return in power and glory to take away His Bride, the church. There is no other name given under heaven by which man must be saved. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Bible, comes to live in us at conversion, convicts the world of sin, teaches us all things, and brings to our remembrance the Word of God and empowers us to live for and testify of Jesus. (Deut 6:4; Matt 3:16-17; 2 Cor 13:14; John 1:1, 14; Luke 1; 26-38; Heb 4:15; John 2:11; 1 Pet 1:18-19; Luke 24:39; Rom 8:34; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor 12:4-6; John 14:23, 25; 1 Tim 6:14-16; 1 John 5:7)
The Salvation of Man.
Mankind is perishing because of sin, which separates it from God. But God loves all mankind, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should repent. Mankind can only be saved through a complete commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, being regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by human works. The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Holy Spirit. The outward evidence is a life of righteousness, true holiness, and good works, which we will be rewarded for in eternity. (Gen 1:26-31; Gen 3:1-7; Rom 5:8-21; Eph 2:8-10; Rom 10:8- 10; Titus 3:5-7; Rom 8:16; 2 Cor 7:1; Matt 3:8; 2 Cor 5:10,17)
Sanctification.
The act of separation from that which is evil, and dedication unto God is a lifelong process for disciples of Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:18, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 1 Thess 4:7, 2 Tim 1:8-9, Eph 5:1, 1 John 2:6, Col 3:9-10, Rom 8:29)
The Church and Its Mission.
The Church is the representative of Jesus on earth and is to carry out the Great Commission. The Church is a body of believers brought together by the Holy Spirit as a visible part of His church and the one body of Christ. The Church is responsible to faithfully proclaim the whole Word of God in fulfilling the Great Commission, and humbly submit itself to one another in the disciplines of study, prayer, fellowship, and the Lord’s Supper, all for the glory of God. (Eph 1:22–3; Matt 18:19-20; Rom 12:4–5; 1 Cor 12:27; Eph 2:22; 1 Pet 2:5, 9–10; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Cor 11:23–26)
The Ministry.
A divinely called and scripturally ordained minister has been provided by God to lead the Church in evangelization, worship, building the body, and general leadership of the Church. (Eph 4:11–13)
Divine Healing.
Is provided for us today by the Scriptures and included in the atonement for our sins. (Matt 15:30, Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24)
Jesus’ Second Coming.
Jesus is coming again to gather all His saints to heaven. Until that time, we have a commission to fulfill, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. (1 Cor 15:51-52; 1 Thess 4:16-17; 2 Thess 2:1; Acts 1:4-11)
Eternity.
We believe heaven is the dwelling place for those who believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and have passed from this life. Everyone who has trusted in the finished work of Christ will live with Him forever in the new Heaven and the new earth. According to Scripture, hell was prepared for the devil and his fallen angels, but those who reject the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will also suffer this eternal separation from God. The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and anyone whose name is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall live eternally separated from God. (John 3:16-18; Matt 25:41; Rev 19:20, 20:10-15, 21:1- 8)
Statement of Marriage.
The Church believes that marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman instituted by and publicly entered into before God (“Biblical Definition of Marriage”). Because of the longstanding importance of the Biblical Definition of Marriage to humans and their relationships and communities, and, most importantly, the fact that God has ordained that marriage be between one man and one woman, as clearly conveyed in God’s inerrant Scriptures, including for example in Matthew 19:4-6 where in speaking about marriage Jesus referred to the fact that “he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,” (without the liberty or moral right to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender [Gen. 1:27; Deut. 22:5]) the Church hereby creates this policy, which shall be known as the “Marriage Policy.”
Under the Church’s Marriage Policy, the Biblical Definition of Marriage is the only definition of marriage that will be recognized or accepted. No pastor, officer, trustee, employee, servant, agent, or any person, corporation, organization, or entity under the direction or control of the Church shall commit any act or omission, or make any decision whatsoever, that would be inconsistent with, or that could be perceived by any person to be inconsistent with, full support of, and strict adherence to, the Church’s Marriage Policy and Biblical Definition of Marriage rather than any alternative to the Biblical Definition of Marriage. The Church’s Marriage Policy specifically prohibits acts or omissions including, but not limited to, permitting any Church assets or property, whether real property, personal property, intangible property, or any property or asset of any kind that is subject to the direction or control of the Church, to be used in any manner that would be or could be perceived by any person to be inconsistent with this Church’s Marriage Policy or the Biblical Definition of Marriage, including, but not limited to, permitting any Church facilities to be used by any person, organization, corporation, or group that would or might use such facilities to convey, intentionally or by implication, what might be perceived as a favorable impression about any definition of marriage other than the Biblical Definition of Marriage.
The Church believes that its Marriage Policy is based upon God’s will for human life as conveyed to us through the Holy Scriptures, upon which the Church has been founded and anchored, and this Marriage Policy shall not be subject to change through popular vote; referendum; prevailing opinion of informal members or the general public; influence of or interpretation by any government authority, agency, or official action; or legal developments on the local, state, or federal level. (Matt 19:4-6, Gen 2:24, Eph 5:22-32, 1 Cor 7:2, Gen 1:27, Mark 10:6-9, 1 Cor 7:1-5, Col 3:18- 19, 1 Peter 3:1-7)
Statement on Life.
According to Scripture, life begins at conception and is a divine gift from God. As a church body, the Church will foster a culture that defends and advocates for life in all circumstances, acknowledging that our Heavenly Father is the Source of all life. (Gen 1:1, Gen 1:27, Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-16, Matt 25:35-40)
Statement on Racial Reconciliation.
The Bible, which we as the Church embrace as the very Word of God, is clear that all people are created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) and therefore worthy of dignity and respect. With the clear teaching of the Bible as our guide, we therefore stand for racial reconciliation and view racism in all its forms as sin. In light of that, we reject any form of valuing one race over others, as this is contrary to the Word of God and the Work He has Commissioned us to do.
Ordinances of the Church
Water Baptism.
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and by full immersion. Baptism in water by immersion should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all that have repented and, in their hearts, have truly believed in Christ as Savior and Lord. In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt 28:19; Mark 1:4; Rom 6:4; Col 2:12; Matt 3:16)
Holy Communion.
The Lord’s Supper consisting of the Body and Blood represented in the fruit of the vine and bread. (Matthew 26:17-29; Mark 14:12-25; Luke 22:7-38; and 1 Cor 11:23-25)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
According to Acts 1:8 and Acts 2:4, with one of the signs being speaking in other tongues along with other gifts. We believe in the present infilling of the Holy Spirit to all believers. The Holy Spirit’s ministry to the body of Jesus Christ gives power to live, witness, proclaim the gospel and to make disciples. The Holy Spirit gives us power to cultivate a Christ-like character through the fruit of the Spirit and to build up and mature the church through miraculous gifts and ministries in this present day. (Rom 8:16; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:1-4; Gal 5:16-25; 1 Cor 12-14; Heb 2:4)
Child Dedication.
The dedication of a child is an acknowledgement by parents that their child is a gift from God. It is a promise to rear the child for God’s glory. By committing the child to Him, parents establish their role as stewards of God’s inheritance entrusted to their care. (Luke 2:22-35)
Child Dedication does not impart salvation to a child. Instead, Child Dedication is a sacred service that should invoke the written promises of God for parents and children through the spoken word of faith, specifically include God’s promises for protection, blessing, and favor, mark a child with the seal of the Holy Spirit, and represent a commitment by parents to commit to a pattern of Godly prayer and instruction for their children. (Heb 11:28, Matt 18:4-7, Gal 3:29, 1 Chronicles 16:15-22, Psalm 91)
Governance
At Life Church, our governance structure is designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with our mission. We are guided by a Board of Trustees and an Executive Leadership Team, who collaborate closely with our Pastors to oversee the church’s operations and strategic direction. This collaborative leadership approach fosters a healthy balance between governance and ministry, enabling us to fulfill our mission with excellence.
