Protégé CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Protégé exists to develop confident, Spirit-led leaders through transformational teaching and hands-on ministry training. As part of Life Church Academy, this track combines classroom instruction with real-life leadership opportunities within the local church.

Our mission is to help every student fully step into their God-given calling by:

    Which program should I choose?

    It depends on your calling and goals.

    Protégé is ideal for those seeking hands-on ministry training, spiritual growth, and leadership development within the local church.

    SEU at Life Church is for those who want to pursue an accredited degree while being developed in ministry, leadership, and faith.

    Both tracks are intentionally designed to equip you for Kingdom impact—choose the one that aligns with where God is leading you.

    How much do these programs cost?

    Protégé

    Year 1 (Leadership Development): $25 application fee + $100 tuition

    Year 2 (Ministerial Development): $50 application fee + $200 tuition

    SEU at Life Church

    Do I need to be a member of Life Church to apply to Protégé?

    Yes. Protégé is a ministry of Life Church and is open to individuals who have completed Growth Track, are actively giving, serving, and have pastoral approval.

    What’s the difference between Protégé 101 and 201?

    Protégé 101 is for foundational leadership and ministry development

    Protégé 201 builds on that foundation and focuses on ministerial training, with the opportunity to pursue licensing and ordination upon completion

    When do classes meet?

    Both Protégé and SEU classes meet in person.

    Protégé: Tuesday nights, 6–9PM at the Penn State LV campus

    SEU: Class schedules vary depending on your course load and program

    Can I do both Protégé and SEU?

    Yes! Some students choose to pair their accredited education through SEU with practical leadership training through Protégé for a well-rounded equipping experience.

    SEU ACCREDITATION

    Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees.

    Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
